Jose Arciniega is a doctor of osteopathic medicine, or D.O., and is dedicated to treating the body as a unit and each patient as a combination of the body, mind and spirit. As a D.O., Dr. Arciniega understands that the body is capable of self-regulation, self-healing and overall health maintenance. He specializes in family medicine and treats pediatrics to geriatrics.

Osteopathic medicine is a distinctive form of medical practice that provides all of the benefits of modern medicine including prescription drugs, surgery and the use of technology to diagnose disease and evaluate injury. It also offers the added benefit of hands-on diagnosis and treatment through a system of therapy known as osteopathic manipulative medicine. Osteopathic medicine emphasizes helping each person achieve a high level of wellness by focusing on health education, injury prevention and disease prevention.

Dr. Arciniega strives to provide the best quality of health care to his patients. He understands each patient is unique. Dr. Arciniega works in partnership with his patients, considering the impact that lifestyle and community have on the health of each individual.

Dr. Arciniega received a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies, with minors in Biology and Chemistry, from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Arciniega obtained his medical education at Ohio University. He completed his internship and residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where he was nominated chief resident in his final year. Dr. Arciniega is fluent in English and Spanish.

He lives locally and enjoys spending time with his parents and relatives, and keeps active in organized sports.
